Farm tours and Accommodation
As owners/operators of Martinborough Manner, we are proud to show you round and explain some of the ways our property works. We take you through the different parts of our twenty acre orchard farmlet, from picking the ripened fruits and vegetables (in season) to our licensed kitchen to watch the preparation of goods for distribution throughout New Zealand.
Visit us in September or October and you will see the trees smothered in blossom. From early December through May (in a good year) you can experience the fruit harvest with the opportunity to pick fruit as part of the orchard tour. Most of the year we have vegetables available for you to pick and purchase as well. But come anytime, we have things to see and do all year round. We have a large selection of preserves available from our on-site shop. Morning or afternoon tea can be served from our delicart and enjoyed on the verandah or inside by the fire, depending on the weather. If it is a hot day, enjoy some real fruit ice cream - delish!
We have lots of animals for you to feed and pet as you wander around our orchard farm. Hear how lots of them are actually working for their living as part of the Martinborough Manner team. All our animals are very tame and most love to eat from your hand. In season you can milk a cow or a goat. You can help shift the sheep, talk to Basil the miniature Rawhiti buck, or his wife, Obsidian, collect the eggs from the hens or the ducks (if there are any!) and feed the geese (employed as watch-geese in the orchard!)
You can also try our preserves before you buy them, experiencing the flavours that have made us well-known.

Farm stay
You can also stay with us in our beautiful Edwardian Villa. We offer peace, tranquility and stunning views OR you can join us in the day to day life on our farm, shifting sheep, feeding out, collecting eggs, talking to the cows, smooching the goats and more OR both. Your choice!
